Hey! My name is Vidya Makan. I’m a composer, lyricist, actor, singer and blatant over-sharer.

I’m probably most well known for playing Eliza in the Australian production of Hamilton! You might also know me for originating the role of Catherine Parr in the Australian Tour of SIX.

I also wrote a musical called The Lucky Country which is currently nominated for SEVEN green room awards after playing sold out seasons in Melbourne and Brissy last year. Our original cast album was also nominated for an ARIA Award (?!!!!!) and you can stream it here from anywhere you get your music!

It means a lot to me to get to do what I do. I’m honestly just a brown kid from queensland who is obsessed with musical theatre. I have yellow hair and a deep seeded passion to uplift minority voices in everything I create.
